Get in Touch

Long County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody or released, release a person, post bond, arrange a visit, transfer anyone, or pull an official booking record or photograph. For an authoritative answer, contact the government office that holds the record.

Where to Look in Long County

Long County does not operate an active jail. The Long County Sheriff's Office jail and bonding page explains the distributed-housing system. LCSO books and processes county arrestees, while surrounding county jails provide the physical housing. The sheriff's office is the first stop for the county booking record and the housing note in its Current Inmates, Last 24 Hours, and Arrest-Date Search views. LCSO can answer questions about county booking and housing and can provide records it holds, but it is not the custodian of a host jail's photograph.

Long County Sheriff's Office

Street: 6 East Academy Street, Ludowici, GA 31316
Mail: P.O. Box 368, Ludowici, GA 31316
Main and non-emergency: 912-545-2118
Administrative hours: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. daily, as stated on the sheriff's website
Open records: records@longcountyso.org
Open Records personnel: Ask for Mark Hall through 912-545-2118
Court-date line: 912-545-2123

The records email is not monitored 24/7 and is not a secure channel. Do not send sensitive personal information through it. For an emergency, call 911. For a records request, identify the person, arrest date, arresting agency, and record type, then ask for a cost estimate before work that may create a fee. The LCSO open-records page describes the Georgia Open Records Act process and the office's response rules.

The Host Jail Holds the Photo

The housing notation identifies the detention facility that actually held the person. That host facility, not LCSO, is the photo custodian according to the sheriff's open-records information. Ask LCSO for the Long County arrest or booking record, then send a focused photograph request to the named host. Do not send the same request to every jail, and do not guess from a general host list. Live roster notes have also referenced Pierce, so the individual housing entry must be checked.

  • Tattnall County Jail: P.O. Box 545, Reidsville, GA; 912-557-6778.
  • Wayne County Jail: 1892 South Macon Street, Jesup, GA; 912-427-5975.
  • Appling County Jail: 560 Barnes Street, Suite B, Baxley, GA; 912-367-8121.
  • McIntosh County Jail: 12317 GA-251, Darien, GA; 912-437-6623.
  • Ware County Jail: 3487 Harris Road, Waycross, GA; 912-287-4323.

Confirm the current address, phone number, records recipient, and any fee with the host jail before sending a request. These locations are possible host facilities, not Long County jail buildings or separate Long County facilities.

Ludowici Police Department

For a city incident or arrest report, contact the Ludowici Police Department at 214 South McDonald Street, Ludowici, GA 31316, 912-545-2222. The county directory confirms the phone. No verified LPD website, online blotter, booking roster, photo policy, special fee, or dedicated open-records form was found. Call and ask where to send a focused written Georgia Open Records Act request. City Hall is a separate office and is not the Ludowici Police records office. A Ludowici booking still enters the LCSO booking and distributed-housing system; request the county booking sheet from LCSO and the photograph from the named host jail.

State, Federal, and Court Records

A sentenced state prisoner belongs in the Georgia Department of Corrections offender query. For a GDC records request, use the GDC open-records page and its request portal. Court dates and dispositions are separate from booking data. Use the Georgia Courts e-access directory or the appropriate clerk route. For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator; for immigration detention, use the ICE locator. Those systems answer different custody questions and do not replace the Long County booking record.
